Skills Bootcamp - Education Support

Whether you are looking to begin a rewarding career in an education support role, or you are already in an education support role ready to take your next step, this Skills Bootcamp is just for you.

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses, designed to support you into a new role, or to develop and progress in your current job.

Our Skills Bootcamp is delivered in person at our purpose-built conference centre, Clayton Road, Lincoln, LN5 8RE.

What you will learn

As part of the Skills Bootcamp, you will be supported through eight key themes and workshops, delivered across eight days:

  2. Child Development

  3. How are schools kept safe?

  4. How are children taught?

  5. How do we interact with children?

  6. Experiencing work in schools

  7. What is inclusive practice?

  8. Careers in education

Who is the Bootcamp for?

The Skills Bootcamp is aimed at both people already in education roles who are looking for development and training to progress into new roles and develop new skills, as well as those new to, or looking to enter, the education sector in a support role. Education support roles include Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors, Pastoral Managers, Youth Workers, Administrative roles, Safeguarding officers, Sport Coaches and more.

All participants will also benefit from our expert pastoral and careers support throughout their programme.

To enrol on our Skills Bootcamp, you must:

  • Be 19 years or older

  • Live in Greater Lincolnshire (you will have a Greater Lincolnshire postcode)

  • Have lived in the UK for three years

  • Be able to attend the training in full (60 Guided Learning Hours across eight days of training)
