    At Priory Apprenticeships, we want every apprentice to feel confident and supported throughout their journey. If you have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), we’re here to make sure you have the tools and assistance you need to succeed.

    If you are an employer, supporting a learner with SEND can feel daunting. Priory Apprenticeships have a dedicated team to support your business, so that your learners' needs are met. We are proud to have a fantastic support network for learners with additional needs, which includes working closely with employers to develop practical and individualised learning support. We have a specialist SENCO, who will support you to support your apprentices.

    What Support Can You Get?

    We provide Additional Learning Support (ALS) that is personalised to the needs of your learner. This could include:

    • Extra help with learning tasks
    • Adapted materials or specialist resources and equipment
    • Assistive technology
    • One-to-one support or mentoring
    • Flexible assessment arrangements
     

    How It Works

    If your learner discloses to us that they might need additional learning support, we will work with them to understand what this might look like and create a personalised support plan and review it regularly to make sure it’s working for you and your learner.

    No Extra Cost

    ALS (Additional Learning Support) is funded through the apprenticeship programme, so you won’t pay anything extra.
