    Groundworkers are the first on site, laying the foundations for every successful project. The Groundworker Apprenticeship equips your team with the skills to start strong and build right from day one.

     

    Designed to meet the needs of the construction and civil engineering industries, this apprenticeship equips individuals with expertise in areas such as laying foundations, installing drainage, concreting, kerbing, and health and safety. Apprentices gain the practical skills and industry knowledge needed to ensure projects start strong and are built on solid ground.

    18 months + 3 month assessment period

    Delivery Method

    Delivered via a monthly workshop at our academy in Lincoln. Training can also be delivered at the employer site, and is supported through regular visits from our Occupational Experts. Reach out if your business has a particular need.

    Progression Pathways

    Groundworkers are able to transfer between heavy construction and civil engineering sites as well as house building, commercial building and general building sites. Groundworkers work for all types of construction companies, from small subcontractors to large main contractors. Groundworkers can also choose to study further and enhance their skillset, or go on to complete leadership and management training.
